It’s very easy to get engulfed in work and forget to take a break. The thing is that if you spend a lot of time in front of your monitor, it is a good idea to take a break from time to time and relax your eyes. This is where EyesProtect comes in. Set up the application and it will remind you when it is time to take a break. On top of that, the application suggests you some eye gymnastics which can prevent headaches and can combat the “dry eyes” effect.

The EyesProtector application works with all major editions of the Microsoft-developed Windows operating system. To get started with the application you will first have to download an archive, extract its contests, run the executable inside, and click through the setup wizard. The whole process will take little of your time and will require minimum effort.

When you run EyesProtector, the application will present you with an update prompt; this is to ensure you have the latest version of your application. Then the application will present you with its Help file. You are well advised to check it out and thus better understand what sort of functionality EyesProtector offers and how to use it.

EyesProtector is meant to stay out of sight; consequently, when the application is running, you will see an EyesProtector icon in the system tray. The application’s interface is minimal and simplistic – there’s a menu bar at the top, and tabs underneath it for EyesProtector’s various functions.

From the aforementioned interface you can set it up so that EyesProtector will tell you when it is time to take a break and relax your eyes. The application will keep track of how much time you spend in front of the monitor, and will prompt you to take a break based on your settings. You can, for example, set it up so the application will remind you to take a break after an hour of work. You may think that it’s easy to keep such a thing in mind – but the simple truth of the matter is that it’s very easy to get caught up in work and forget to take a break. EyesProtector ensures this does not happen.

To keep your body in shape, you probably work out; to prevent eye fatigue, the “dry eyes” effect, and headaches, EyesProtector suggests you some eye gymnastics. The application presents and guides you through a bunch of exercises for your eyes, which will activate blood circulation around your eyes.

The EyesProtector demo edition is free to use for a lengthy trial period of 90 days. When the trial period is over you will have to get a license for the full version, or switch to the free edition. Please note that the free edition does not let you change the settings defined by the developer.

Take a break, relax your eyes. EyesProtector tells you when you should get up and give your eyes a much needed break.

Pros

It will take little time and minimum effort to install EyesProtector on your Windows PC. To help you get started, the application presents its Help file. EyesProtector will remind you when it’s time to take a break and relax your eyes. It guides you through some helpful eye gymnastics.

Cons

Free to use for a trial period of 90 days (that’s quite lengthy; there’s a Free edition as well).
